Life and Will of William Penn
Early Life
William Penn was born on October 14, 1644 in London, England. Right when he was born he was famous. His father, Admiral William Penn was well known and very wealthy. Even the King of England borrowed money from him. When at a young age of 13 he was moved by Thomas Loe to Quaker Beliefs . Later on at the age of 16, Penn was expelled from The University of Oxford for practicing Quaker beliefs. He later finished his education in France.
Moving to the States
When Penn became a officially became a Quaker at age 23 when the Quakers were looking to America for a new home. Penn's father was very rich and the King owed him money so he gave them land in America which he named Pennsylvania and that's were the Quakers moved. Will came and went alot of times after that
Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania government was different from other governments. Its government was called a self-government because Will didn't want colonists to have to much power. The Quakers really grew in Pennsylvania expanding in beliefs to many people.
Memorial
Penn Later died at age 73 on July 30, 1718 in Berkshire, England. A fitting Memorial would be a museum that you can stay at all day! It has everything that you need. Snacks, water, and even meals. It would
